## What Are Smile Lines?

## How Long Does Botox Last?
Botox is an effective treatment option for smile lines, but it’s not a permanent treatment option. Botox for smile lines can last anywhere from three to six months. When you first get Botox, you may notice that Botox wears out faster. Your muscles may be more active, speeding up the breakdown of Botox in your facial muscles. After several treatments, your Botox may last longer as your muscles stay more relaxed.
## A 20-Minute Treatment
Botox is a quick and painless treatment. The treatment usually takes just a few minutes. When you book an at-home Botox appointment, you will need less than 30 minutes for the entire appointment. If you’re just treating your smile lines, the injections will take less than 5 minutes. 

After your appointment, you can go back to work, meet friends, and do any of your regular activities. However, to make Botox last longer, we recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and avoid rubbing your face for several hours.
