## What Are the Two Types of Wrinkles?

## How Does Botox Work?
Botox is an effective treatment for dynamic wrinkles. Botox injections contain a small dose of botulinum toxin which partly paralyzes muscles. When the muscles stop moving, the skin over these muscles smooths out, erasing wrinkles and creases. When the muscles are relaxed, you’ll enjoy younger-looking, healthy skin. 
## Can Botox Treat Sun Damage?
UV rays from the sun can cause sun damage. These harmful rays lead to rapid collagen loss and skin aging. It can also create static wrinkles. Botox cannot treat static wrinkles. Skin damage doesn’t affect the muscles, so injecting Botox in areas with static wrinkles can’t smooth the skin.

## Protect Your Skin from the Sun
Next time you’re heading out into the sun, put on sunscreen first. The best way to protect your skin from sun damage is with sun protection. Apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to 45, and reapply every few hours. Hot summer days can also dry out your skin, so make sure you drink lots of water when you’re out and apply moisturizer daily.
