When I was 12 years old, I had to have my appendix removed. Surprisingly, I loved every minute of my hospital stay. The OR was very interesting, and I even loved the smell of the hospital and watching all the wonderful nurses. I knew then that I wanted to be a nurse. I've always loved caring for people and seeing the difference I can make.

## Education and Qualifications
I have been in the nursing field since I was 18 years old. I started as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then began climbing the nursing ladder. I became an emergency room technician, a Licensed Vocational Nurse, and finally a Registered Nurse. I have worked in Medical-Surgical units, Telemetry, the ICU, and the Emergency Room. 

I received my LVN from Sacramento City College, my Associate's degree in Nursing from Regents College in New York, and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governor University. I've been at Kaiser Permanente for 24 years and I currently work in the Preoperative and Postoperative Care Unit.

## A Bit About Me
I grew up in Santa Maria on the central coast.  After getting engaged, my fiancé and I moved to Rocklin where we raised our three children who are now 18, 20, and 22. We also have a spoiled Chocolate Lab named Porter. We experience all the seasons here, and I love being close to both the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe. We still live in the home we bought as newlyweds, and many of our neighbors have been in the area just as long as we have. 

I love exercising! Running is my favorite pastime, and when I was younger, I ran in races with my dad. I love to be outdoors, but I also enjoy reading, knitting, woodworking, and hanging with my girlfriends. Three years ago, I fulfilled a childhood dream and became a Southwest Flight Attendant. I absolutely love being in the air and giving customers the best service I can. It’s been a dream come true!
