My journey to becoming a nurse started when I was pregnant with my 18-year-old son. He was born at 32 weeks and was in the NICU for the first 2 months of his life. That experience showed me the impact nurses have on each one of their patients. Now I work with pregnant women, new mothers, and women of every age. 
Having a positive impact on a person’s healthcare experience motivates me in my work as a nurse. Accessing healthcare shouldn’t be so stressful, and all humans should be respected and listened to by their healthcare providers. I strive to empower my patients to play an active role in their care.

## Education and Qualifications
I am a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in women’s health. I got my associate degree in nursing at College of Marin, my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Samuel Merritt University, and a BA in communications from the University of Colorado Denver. I also maintain my Registered Nurse Certification in Obstetrics and Electronic Fetal Monitoring. 

For several years I worked in Labor and Delivery at Kaiser, and last year I took a position in the OBGYN clinic. Now I get to provide care for pregnant women, as well as women of any age.

## A Bit About Me
I was born in Muir beach, grew up in Mill Valley, and lived in Colorado for 10 years after high school. I met my Kansas-born husband in Denver, and we had our 2 oldest kids in Denver before moving back to California. Now we live in Novato, and I love all the amazing hiking trails right outside our front door. My husband and I have 3 kids, 8 hens, and 1 sweet little Cairn terrier.

I enjoy warm weather and love working out in high-temperature environments. I love hot Pilates, yoga, paddleboarding, and hiking with my dog. When I’m not outside, I enjoy baking, cooking, and crafting with my daughter. I also love essential oils and make a lot of my own skincare, perfume, and aromatherapy blends.
