I always knew I wanted to work in medicine, but for many years I thought advanced practice would be too intense for me. However, when I was in college I worked as a home health aide, and that’s when I realized how much I liked working with people. Nurses get to spend so much more face-to-face time with patients, so I pivoted and enrolled in nursing school!

One of the things I value the most is a healthy lifestyle. This motivates me to stay active and to eat healthy. It also motivates me to provide top-quality, informative care to my patients and clients to help them live their best life. 

## Education and Qualifications
Originally I went to university for biology because I wasn’t sure if nursing was for me. I received a bachelor's from Washington and Jefferson College. Then I went back to school and graduated with a bachelor’s in nursing at Duquesne University. I also have an advanced certification for emergency nursing (CEN). 

I’ve been nursing for 6 years, and I love it! I currently work at Marin General Hospital in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) where patients recover after surgery. I have experience offering injections, and my patients and clients say I have a gentle touch.

## A Bit About Me
I haven’t always lived in the city. In fact, I grew up in a small town in rural Ohio just outside of Dayton. Moving to San Francisco was a big change but I absolutely love it. I currently live in Outer Sunset, and it is by far my favorite place I have ever lived! I live with my two fur babies who are the best roommates ever. I have a dog named Luna, and a cat named Cutie Pie.

I enjoy taking my pup down to the beach and running in the park. I’m very active, and I enjoy camping, hiking, and snowboarding. I like to run marathons, and a few years ago I ran the Boston Marathon!
