I have always been fascinated by how the body works, and what it means to be healthy. This led me to pursue a medical career. I’ve been a nurse for over 32 years, working as a bedside nurse, a critical care nurse, and a clinical instructor and lecturer.

Being a Pediatric Intensive Care nurse and a breast cancer survivor is a constant reminder of how precious life truly is. I have an active lifestyle, maintain a well-balanced life, and make the most of every day. 

## Education and Qualifications
I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at San Francisco State University in 1989 and have been nursing ever since. I’ve worked in the ER, Oncology, ICU, Plastic Surgery recovery, and Pediatrics. I am also a clinical instructor and substitute lab and lecture instructor at SFSU.

Currently, I work at the California Pacific Medical Center Van Ness Campus as a Charge Nurse in the Pediatric ICU. I am also an instructor for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

## A Bit About Me
I grew up in Daly City, and my family and I still live in the Peninsula. I love being so close to the beaches. At the same time, we’re just a few miles away from everything San Francisco has to offer. My husband is a trained musician and co-owner of a lovely coffee shop. We have two children just entering adulthood. We also have an 11-year-old fur baby, named Snoopy Girl.

We’re an active family, and you’ll often find us in the water surfing, paddling, and wakeboarding. We also love hiking, camping, biking, skiing, and snowboarding. Along with all these outdoor activities, I love dancing. My daughter and I are both Tahitian/Polynesian dancers, and I love performing with her.
